It's actually hard to tell what they are in high res as well. In this res, it looks like I'm looking at funny looking crabs. I think it's the color of their heads that blend in too much.

I keep finding myself wnating to rub my eyes when I look at this one! LOL

10% less on ant mask would had given a subtle edge. A bit of liquify on lower eye lids. Also a bit of shadow of ant on eyes was required. Overall Cool!!. Happy new year

Good image .... Sorry this comment is late ... I know you can't do anything now but .... for next time ... it would have added to the realism if you had a few of the blades of grass in front the ants (or at least some of them). Would have helped to add depth.
