Show a picture of one and the same person expressing two different emotions. Take one original photo and change the expression of the person into something different in your favorite photo manipulation program. The bigger the change, the better.
Place your original photo and your result next to each other or on top of each other, so it's easy to compare. You can also use a picture of yourself, so this contest won't be anonymous.
Required level: 5+ or higher. Status: finished. Check out the winners below!

TwilightMuse: I love the idea, but it was definately dissapointing to have my entries removed for using 2 pictures. I wish I could have redone them first... ( 5 years and 3364 days ago )

LOL.. I really do have the nose don't I Chappy? (I was never invited to cocaine parties during the 80's and I was barred from the club BUMP in Miami)... go figure
Looks very believable. At first I thought you'd also changed the expressions in the eyes of the second one which very few entrants have done. But I compared the eyes in the two pictures closely and don't think you have. So your eyes' expressions work for both a happy and sad face, which I think is quite rare...and mysterious too!! If that's you, I think you look good IMO
author.. Please put the ORIGINAL image at the same contrast level as the finished image.. it will balance the image and make it more readable ... (nice work..equalizing the images will make the balance go through the roof)... GREAT JOB
Great work author...its really noticeably double emotion here, and with source that u used, this is not very easy way to achieve...so hat down for that...also your SBS is very good...best of luck
I my opinion, the eye you've created on the happy face looks quite fake. It's much larger and not as deep set as the original ones. Otherwise, the changed expression is great.
The mouth is smudged unrealistically and you can even see the original one! The eyes don't have any change in expression to go with a sad mouth. If you were calling it "Feeling Old" then maybe you could've made her look more aged and tired. That would've been great.

It would help if you could explain your idea a little because all this looks like is that you've smudged the mouth area. The emotions in the eyes and almost everything else is practically unchanged. Although she's an amazing looking woman, what is your reason for using this particular picture as a subject for "Abuse"??
I agree.. the area around the mouth looks very messy, maybe you could use a low opacity brush with a sampled colour to smooth that area over. I like what you did with the eyes, but i also feel that if you are showing 'abuse' then perhaps you could show this a little more clearly with bruising or grazes. This is a subject to handle carefully so don't go overboard.
as guys recommended before me, u should clean mouth area author...also with cleavage who would luck in her head...just joking author...image have potential, try to fix mouth...best of luck
Erathion, I agree about the cleavage which is why I asked the author why use this particular picture...because it is honestly revealing enough to be distracting. SO maybe there should've been some bruising abuse in that area too ...no? Sorry, I know that sounds awful :O
