Even though i aint fun of brushes i must say spot on!! So effective !!! High marks from me
EDIT: i thought that all those splatters were brushes.now when i saw the sources i like it even more

Thank you! Although no brushes were used to make this, it was all layer masking or texture work
Gads, this is very interesting - didn't realize til I viewed in hi-res, and you've got such patience! I'd love it if you included how you made the little holes and wires in your sbs, I'll wait to vote.
Edit: Thank you for that explanation, author - your steps 1 and 2 just look like black dots, so I guess after that you did further manipulation. And now I've voted - that partially explains your patience! Simple, but so effective. Holy moly, did that take a few days for all that 'surgery'?
author says:
Thanks Pearlie The holes were created by using a small brush with a large spacing and just brushing a line to the contours of the face. Then ripple and smudge them. The wires were just brushed from hole to hole, textured and smudged. Yes it took patience, and thank you for checking out the HiRes.
Creative concept and you certainly committed yourself to a lot of work. The hair/veil notion is very cool. I found the medium hi-res version [the one shrunk to fit on my screen] the most compelling. The small one here doesn't have quite enough detail to appreciate what you've done while the full hi-res reveals the misalignments, etc. that are understandable when you're doing something so intricate for negligible remuneration at best. The assymentric hole arrangement on the symmetrical face is a perfectly valid artistic choice. I do feel, however, that the holes on the far side of her nose should not be particularly visible.
Very interesting piece of work author...There is few masking issues especially where face meet ground and around cheek bone. Also u could create a bit softer transition between texture and sculpture using layer mask with really really soft brush...I know that this is surreal image but try to fix this small things to achieve another amazing entry in your portfolio...Best of luck author
Creative idea with a clever title compellingly executed in a dramatic palette. An SBS would be nice, though. Opportunities for fine-tuning: Have the cross-hatched sections look like they follow the contours of the face they're in front of to make them seem on the face instead. Have the grass cast subtle shadows on the building where it touches the ground to firmly ground the structure. Have the far right columns of the building cast a shadow consistent with that cast by the mound to their immediate right.
