Finding a stock with a hand for handling the sword, would improve the quality of your entry.
You could also think of a different background since cloud render is too obvious here. GL
If you want to keep the cloud render background...you could possibly enlarge it considerably and then blur the _ _ _ _ out of it. Sorry...I mean blur it a lot.

For better realism, you should eliminate the lines on the edges, and use burn/dodge to create different surfaces. In real life there are no lines, only lighted & shadowed planes.
Also work on the perspective. Find the horizon line and make those construction lines converge towards it.
Greymval is right. If you don't get rid of the lines, at least make them as thinner as you can, for a realistic looking.

Thanks all for comments I was away from computer couple days I just checked in today I did a redo did the burn & dodge tool and left out the inter bevel tool but had to add a overlay of color because the texture came picture you wouldn't be able to see stone Where thee bevel gave color it also gave the lines

sword has thickness so the holes should show some of the inside of the sword not just be masked out. you could try using the pen tool to outline the hole and then add a line to the path with a bit of adjusting the colour you could give the impression of depth to the holes

I agree with your comment Alan. Thanks for the suggestion. I know it's basically a beginner's attempt at a chop. If I have time and can figure out if/how I can do it I will.
Thanks again
