Interesting start pic (that might benefit from greater contrast). The color depth is nicely shallow, but it doesn't accentuate the feel of a graveyard IMO. The negative of this might be more compelling. Making the name on the foreground gravestone visible could add drama.
Looks better in hi res ... took me while but I like more and more the longer I look at it!

This is tougher then it looks. The method is simple, but I messed with this and other images for quite some time trying to get a happy medium.

The color depth is beautiful, but the image is terribly fuzzy looking. The quality of your starting photo definitely affects your results...Maybe if you sharpen it slightly before indexing the colors?

Thanks mossy I posted this as i really liked the colour depth too. I was aware the original image was fuzzy but didn't want to sharpen as one of the instruction in this competition was no other modifications could be made. As such thought sharpening this image maybe be against the guidelines this was my understanding anyway may have got the wrong end of the stick.
