For photographers who use Photoshop (or similar program): Enter any image you have manipulated or enhanced that you cannot submit it to the photography contests but still looks like a REAL photo.
Nothing fantastical or strange allowed, but you can clone out or add in, change colours, apply filters ... generally ENHANCE your own photos. For this contest no stock is allowed. You can use only your own photos.
DanLundberg: I assume using plug-ins is allowed as they are not expressly prohibited. ( 5 years and 3117 days ago )
Heathcliffe: Is there importance on the reason why it can't be submitted to the photography contests ? Meaning - due to something that doesn't meet the theme guidelines or because its too photoshopped ? ( 5 years and 3117 days ago )
arca: @Heathcliffe - for this contest you can do things to your photo's that are not allowed in Photography .. clone things out, use filters, even combine 2 images ... anything goes as long as you use your own photo's and it looks like a "REAL" photo when you are done! I know this leaves some room for interpretation but ask yourself this this before submitting ... could a camera have taken this picture??? If the answer is yes, then it is on theme. Hope that helps ( 5 years and 3117 days ago )
CMYK46: So...if I make a photo realistic UFO and merge it with my photo, will it be okay, or a waste of my time? ( 5 years and 3117 days ago )
arca: I guess it all depends on whether you believe UFO's are real or not ... guess the voters or Mods will have to decide that one??? ( 5 years and 3116 days ago )
artgirl1935: What about really old photos you photograph to 'repair' water damage, etc. ( 5 years and 3116 days ago )
arca: @artgirl1935 - IMO that would be okay but the original idea was to make ordinary photos more spectacular ..."enhanced". Repairing old photos is a kind of enhancement and I wouldn't (personally) consider it off-theme but I don't think it would get as good a score in this contest as in a "repair" contest. ( 5 years and 3116 days ago )
friiskiwi: I'd love to enter this contest, but with the lack of internet and time, it is unlikely I will have a chance. Perhaps if I get a rainy day, saw a cloud yesterday. ( 5 years and 3115 days ago )
arca: @friiskiwi ...I didn't think I would ever say this but I hope it rains! I would love to see what you would do! ( 5 years and 3115 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Any entry submitted after 2000hrs GMT Friday 19th August will be removed. ( 5 years and 3109 days ago )

This is beautiful! Exquisite color match to the earrings.
There is the tinist diagonal dark shadow on the side of the nose, and another that is shaped like a small half circle at the inside corner of the eye. I'd lighten those ever so slightly...
author says:
thanks, I see what you are saying about the nose, I'll certainly fix that, but I'm not sure what part of the eye you are talking about...the inside corner?
Removed buildings in background, changed the sky, removed sign and wire on building, added gradient colour layer, adjustment layers, shadows and grain layer (to aid in photographic look). See SBS for full info and WIP GIF in Step 13
EDIT: Flipped clouds :D (5 years and 3116 days ago)
Great looking image. My only observation is the light on the building is from the left, and the light on the clouds from the right. Might want to flip it. GL author.
I did a lot of work on this image than you can really tell. Unfortunately I was flattening as I went, not ever expecting to enter it in a contest. So my step by step is going to rather lack luster in terms of number of steps. (5 years and 3115 days ago)
This title amuses me, it was about 40 degrees this day! My model was certainly a trooper!!! I did this for a friend several years ago. I dug it up and worked it a bit more for this contest. (5 years and 3115 days ago)

Yes, just above the inside corner and the eyelid crease. It's barely noticeable, but I have hyper color sensitivity, so I see it really well...
