Creative, but seems rushed to me. Aside from Mossy's comment, the way you have your light source wouldn't put so much shadow on the duck's underside. A lot of edges could be smoothed, too. Make it better with some tweaks...it's mostly funny and well done!

suggestions:
1) for more 3d, add bright n dark tones to Bert n arm with ducky.
2) add white shine on the edge of the axe, perhaps a starburst to suggest sharpness of axe
3) fade the top part of the shadows on the table (Ernie's arm n ducky)
4) side-thought, you can very well add a "spot light" to just lit the face, axe and arm for a more sinister feel

Judging by the light on the ducks, the light on the sharks fin should be darker near the body, and a shadow from the ducks on the shark would have added some realism and maybe some pebbles in the sand. But I think you still have way out done the rest of the field. congrats old man.

Good call, Bob, I've rounded the head a bit more. Thank you, Kushpatel. And MossyB, I've darkened the bushes and large rooftop slightly, but other than that the lighting is as I envision it - dawn with the sun barely peeking through the smog - lighting from upper right throughout.

Good job correcting the lighting. It was the top of that roof on the left that was throwing a visual monkey wrench into the image. Now it's no longer fighting for dominance, and the roofline can bring the eye back down to the duck.

Nice job on the Trojan Duck, love the armor plating work. Good warp tool technique. Nice mood and good choice of colors.

Maybe you can burn a little bit more the duck, however very good work author, good luck !

Made some adjustments in the shadows/shading and darks/lights. Have also added a low opacity dark orange layer for that warm early morning foggy glow. Thank you all for your comments!

Thank you, aheman, I did think of that, but the duck is still traveling, and the 'soldiers' are tending all that heavy machinery inside - and staying stealth for the time being.

Aheman: I intentionally made the trees look embossed, as for the moon, it is the original pic from mymy a member of pxleyes. I did not make changes to it. That is why it does not even have a halo around it, and if it looks sharp on the edges....sorry, but it is the way, the picture is.
