really cool.. this reminds me of the movie 'Independence Day' space ship scene, just before they start the 'checkmate process' or explosion scene of different cities..
This entry was called "Macaw" before. I did some changes to it, as a suggestion from Mossy. Even I used the same pic of the blue macaw, I just blended the image to get a colorful pattern. Thanks Mossy for suggesting it. (5 years and 3075 days ago)
You're most welcome, author! Your colorful entry embodies what I had in mind, but doesn't really look much like a kaleidoscope, rather just a colorful pattern flipped and and then "echoed."
This would probably make a wonderful kaleidoscopic entry, I suggest you try one of the tutorials in the contest description, using this as your starting image...

Thanks Mossy, will try one of the tutorials.... and see what I can do. I got the idea, just have to paly around with it. I do not know what is wrong with the link to the pic of the blue macaw. I typed correctly, but then when I open the link, it goes to ifijay's (the photographer) page. Well, click on his name link. Open the folder BIRDS, go to the third (3) page, and you will see the macaw. The link I am giving you is correct, I think it is.
This came out wonderfully! It reminds me of the toy kaleidoscopes when I was a kid filled with colored bits of plastic...Great work!

Thanks! I didn't quite expect it to turn out so realistic when I started makin' it! I've never made a kaleidoscope effect before but as it turns out, it's really fun!!

My dad has a kaleidoscope which has a curved glass lens that turns anything you look at into a kaleidoscope. I wanted to try to replicate a kaleidoscope like that. I hope you like it! (5 years and 3075 days ago)
Beautiful result - I wouldn't have imagined a cactus could be made to look so good. Well done!
Thanks Mossy. I love this flowers, we have different kinds of cacti in the yard, so, it is a treat for the eyes when they bloom.
Fantastic, good luck!
Awesome, reminds me of the wild mountain flowers in the place where I was born
