(part of the Mask 2 contest) ( 5 years and 2947 days ago )
Eladine: the black dots n lines n stipes below the mask look a lot like black brush in photoshop to me, I dont know a lot about photography but thats why I mentioned it ( 5 years and 2946 days ago )
Eladine: you can really see it clearly when you change the brightness on the picture ( 5 years and 2946 days ago )
Contest Moderator: I don't believe the image has been photoshopped but friiskiwi could answer that for herself. Even if it were chopped contest sources have been used before so it wouldn't be unusual. ( 5 years and 2945 days ago )
friiskiwi: It has not been photoshoped. The mask is on black velvet. ( 5 years and 2944 days ago )
Eladine: could anyone explain to a noobphotographer how those black dots n lines appeared? when I turn up the brightness in photoshop u can see how there are lil hairs n spots below them. Also the color of these is a lot darker then the rest of the background. look my image: http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/8711/dotsnstripes.jpg ( 5 years and 2943 days ago )
Eladine: and thnx moderator I didnt know that ( 5 years and 2943 days ago )

Very nice choices -- think the transition between the thumb and the handle of the mask needs a touch up -- appears the handle is going thru the thumb not under it -- bit of shadow from the thumb to the handle and maybe extend the handle to the gap between the thumb and finger
yes , yes , yes!!! I love your sources, the dual colour balance on this image works well and although i think your model is more of the focus point for me than the mask you have used the main source creatively and in many places within your image.
That's a great work, especially on using colors. There are somethings that might be helpful to you if you want to improve further: (1) The size of the mask is quite small compared to her face, you can use the distance between her eyes as the standard and enlarge the mask to fit it; (2) The saturation level of the mask is noticeably higher than the rest while the colors of the character are quite muted. If you use the blue filter for the mask, it would fit more to the image; (3) There are many black dots on the image, I don't know your purpose but they are quite distracting. Best work so far!!

Thanks guys for the wonderful comments @ Langstrum thnx for the tips, am ever learning, you made great observations...strangely i used the distance between d eyes to size the mask...the dots were our of my creativity..but all note taken..Thanks
VERY COOL! love the overall color and feel of the picture!! Great pice of art! A couple suggestions take them if you wish, if not this still a great piece. Maybe make the eyes all black, or maybe glowing! Right now she looks a little cross eyed. Also it would be nice to see some fine detail hair strands, you could make just a few paths and stroke them with the pressure turned on. Anyway good luck!
Visually pleasing , great colour and model choice. IMO I agree about the hair with Robart523, in the fact that a few fly-away stands in the hair would bring a little more to the image.
Very nice image! It reminds me something of the Wonder Woman comic book.
The only thing that I noticed in the hi-res is that the lower part of the leg that rests on the rock is not well blended (there is a dark line).
Thanks to: mqtrf from pxleyes for the pic of the valley, paulabflat from morguefile for the pic of the moon, to Jak from morguefile for the pic of the wolf, and to dahl29 for the pic of the girl. (5 years and 2944 days ago)
