pshoudini: i have a question to make.

when i make a creation and submit in pxl contest, is the image still mine? can i sell my work etc??

ok, if the answer is yes, you can because the creation is your's...etc.

the question is, the images that are provided by pxl in the contests(like the spider for example) are clasified under what CR category? whi is the photographer? do we need permition from the author of the photographer to use his photo in other sites for example?

i hope someone understood my question.

spaceranger: @ pshoudini- When you enter an image on pxleyes with approved sources it is considered a personal work that is not for profit. Pxleyes has the right to use your entry in blogs, articles and other not for profit locations. The work is still your own and you can post it on other sites (after the contest closes) like DeviantArt or your own website.
As for selling that entry you must check the license of each source used. Some licenses like Creative Commons allow personal use but may forbid the sale of work using that source. Others like flickr allow the use providing the work is offered under the same license as the source is. If the work is to be sold that would require a different license and many flickr images can be relicensed through Getty Images. You have to make sure before selling any of your chops to be sure it's safe to do so. Best to contact the source author directly about that. You also have to check the contest source given as well, such as in this contest the image is by dilsedosty. ( 5 years and 2903 days ago )

Journal entry date 11.27.2311 This new species, which we fondly call the skunk cat (feteo beatitas Holdenii), was discovered quite unintentionally by our colleague Dr. Farnic Holden. As he relates to us (from a fair distance), he was gathering specimens from a fly trap thicket when the skunk cat suddenly emerged. Being startled, the skunk cat immediately rolled into a ball, leaving just its tail protruding. As Dr. Holden approached, the skunk cat flicked its tail with some force, causing several short streams of a noxious liquid to emerge from the glans in the tail and land on Dr. Holden's skin and clothing. The odor from this liquid was so strong, it caused Dr. Holden to leave the area immediately, eyes tearing and stomach churning. We have yet to find a neutralizing agent for the liquid and so, Dr. Holden continues to be...umm...unacceptable company. (5 years and 2901 days ago)

I know, it looks incredible, but Sci-Fi, is about it, isn't it. Let your imagination fly and help humanity to destroy these flying spiders, before it is too late!. It is about fun with PS. Thanks to arturoyee for the pic of the planes, and to kakisky for the pic of the city of Seattle. Both artists from morguefile. (5 years and 2897 days ago)
