Not bad I'd suggest you to change the orientation of the butterfly; make it look more like its flying and not just pasted into mid-air. You did a nice job other that that GL!

I added a subtle shadow but kept the background plain as it would be easier to add whatever text for the book cover that way.

Not bad for a first entry ; I'd suggest you to decrease the size of the butterfly a bit, and also remove the nail on its back. I like the way you positioned it; it looks more real. I'd also ask you if you coul diminish the color tones of the butterfly, its a little too blue. Otherwise its a good start! GL!
