Contest goal:

Create an image with a retro-nostalgic flavor. It can be a poster about anything, a product, a movie, a book, a music album, a concert or anything you can think of. You can create just an image or a full up poster with graphics and type. The subject can be modern but the look should be retro and original.
For this contest you can use real world products and logos but nothing derogatory or offensive to the respective companies represented.

rjapzdesign: Can we use people in this contest, such as real star wars characters, or use different people to represent the movie characters? ( 5 years and 2773 days ago )

Contest Moderator: Yes, you can use people and they can be Star Wars characters but the source photos can't be copyrighted. You'll find many fan photos, effigies and convention costumes on stock sites like Flickr. These types of entries are considered "fan tributes" and are acceptable for this contest as long as they are complimentary and portray a positive image. May the force be with you. layerstack: How comes my entry has been removed then???I used all my sources from flickr....and used certain figures from films as it states

divair: @layerstack, on Flickr fill in the search box and on the next page click on "Advanced Search" and then check "Only search within Creative Commons-licensed content" and "Find content to modify, adapt, or build upon", and finally SEARCH. he results will be images you can use without restrictions since you credit the author... 1950s advertising, but with my 'spin' on it.
The piggy shape is actually a font, found at DaFont, called Farm and Wild Animals (opacity lowered, set on Multiply).
Used some inner shadow on the large text top and bottom. Burned the red outer stroke in some places.
