a small soft burn brush could be run over the edging to create more depth, and placing the back wing BEHIND the copter Layer might give it a bit more believability (the squared off masking is s dead give away) and some shadows on the ground would be nice (just be careful not to over do it)

IMHO, the body of the insect looks awesome in Step 6, when you add Bevel Emboss be careful that the item doesn't flatten and lose it's depth.. (you could easily overly the body in step 6) just looks more real in my eyes.
