Excellent idea but your black dot is on your black piece, and your white dot on your white piece. Shouldn't it be reversed?

fast and slow balance? ..I find the back ground colours are so bright you tend to lose the focus image

I think you were striving for fire and water, and all I see is water, Maybe retain some of the fire's original shape and color to see the two elements as one, IMHO the entire image just looks like a water spray with some yellow shadowing...

Retaining some of the fire's resolution and color might make it more Yin and Yang

am not sure wat retain is but i'll try makin both the water and fire balaced

I like this one alot. I would suggested having more outline of the boat... like it was on fire going through the water, a ghost boat on fire, or just the two guys in the boat on fire!? The sea and boat part of the picture is needed more in your artwork here to bring everything together!

the water over powers the fire for me ..therefore lacking the yin yang balance ...but thats me
