La Grande Famille, 1963
.
René Magritte created the original La Grande Famille (The Grand Family) in 1963. This was just a few years before the artist’s death and so this serene and surreal oil painting represents his most developed works of art. Magritte was a meticulous and highly skilled draughtsman: ability particularly notable in this oil painting. Oil on canvas art works possess certain qualities which cannot be reproduced by print. The reproduction oil painting we supply is hand painted by skilled artists to the highest standards: Capturing the proficiency of the original in a way print never could.
René Magritte felt that his oil paintings were "visible images which conceal nothing†and “evoke mysteryâ€. Without question when anyone looks at one of Magritte’s art works they cannot help but immediately wonder, ‘what does it all mean?’ Magritte consistently tossed and turned what is readily perceived as reality with illusion. For him the world was all a mystery, an illusion, an unknowable entity: As were his oil paintings.
In Western culture Doves symbolize love, peace and tranquility – They also symbolize hope. They symbolize hope because it was a Dove that showed Noah the Ark was near land. Magritte has created the image of the Dove above the sea and while the wave looks as if it is crashing upon the shore we cannot be certain – As Magritte said, his images ‘conceal nothing’. This is a beautiful oil painting that would never fail to beguile...

I think I'd liquify the background some to match the original...otherwise, good work.
No, he just used his imagination.
