Could use some work on the shadows and blending, and maybe fix the top of the cupcake: it's cut off. It's some extra work but this entry is worth it and will get higher votes.

The light on the sprinkes is opposite of the lighting on the candle. Other than that it is a very creative idea!

The edges of the hoverflyuare a bit too sharp, and the white balance a bit too bright for the rest of the image. I would suggest the tiniest bit of blur around the body, and reduce the white (Image>Adjustments>Selective Color) just a couple of degrees but otherwise, VERY creative!
