Spielberg Tribute - Photoshop Contest [9 entries]

In The Closet Picture

Winning entry, with a score of:
67.6%
Contest goal:

Jaws, E.T., Jurassic Park. Just a few examples of the pretty large list of movies that Steven Spielberg has directed. You may like them or not, you can not deny that Spielberg is a qualified director who made many classic movie scenes, that's why it's time for a Spielberg tribute! All you have to do is think of a scene from a movie directed by Steven Spielberg and create your own impression of that scene. For example, the scene from Jurassic Park where the T-rex sees that guy on the toilet seat, you can make something similar.

Keep in mind, only take movies directed by Spielberg, the ones that he produced won't count.
No clue which movies were directed by Spielberg? Check them out here.
Scroll down on that page to the topics in gold type and click on "Director (51 titles)" to see the list. Good luck!

CMYK46: Might be good to explain the scene if it's not obvious from the contest entry. ( 5 years and 2491 days ago )
spaceranger: I agree Bob but if it's a tribute it shouldn't be so obscure should it? ( 5 years and 2490 days ago )
lchappell: Thanks for making the clarification to the description...showing how to zero in on the REAL nature of this contest's idea. ( 5 years and 2490 days ago )

Thanks to jdhancock and to sneddon for the pics provided for this entry, both of them from flickr.

In this scene from the movie. ET is hiding in the closet among stuffed animals. He camouflaged real well. This was a funny part of the movie. (5 years and 2486 days ago)

The music that was played to draw the Mother Ship down from the Heavens in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" has always held a place in my Minds eye, and I still listen to it to this day.

To this day, I can still see the Mother Ship turning over, great scene in Cinematography. (5 years and 2493 days ago)

In the Color Purple, when Nettie is teaching her Sister Celie how to read, she writes words on pieces of wax paper and pasted them all over the kitchen and makes a big game of fun out of the learning. When she gets to the word Sky it's taped to the front door window and "Mister" (Celie's forced marriage husband is standing in front of the sky, and she Spells his name instead of Sky.) A very scary scene I have never forgotten.
