Have a favorite product that you like to use, eat, drink, drive, etc.. Design your own logo for that product that looks nothing like it's current product branding.
CMYK46: Does it have to be totally different, or can it be a modification of the existing logo? ( 5 years and 2411 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Your design has to be completely different, "...nothing like it's current product branding." ( 5 years and 2411 days ago )
DanLundberg: "It's" is the contraction for 'it is.' His, hers, and its are the possessives without an apostrophe.
Additionally, the extra period after "etc." in the contest description is unnecessary. (The remaining period will do double duty denoting the abbreviation and the end of the sentence since the next word starts with a capital letter.) ( 5 years and 2410 days ago )
photogirl723: Okay, smarta&@. I was obviously half asleep or not paying much attention to what I was writing at the time. Surely, you've made mistakes. As a published author, I do happen to know the difference between it's and its and how to use each correctly. Furthermore, the extra period was just a typo. Any more remarks???? ( 5 years and 2408 days ago )
RickLaMesa: only 2 periods after etc?...I usually use 4 or 5 ( 5 years and 2404 days ago )

I admit I don't get it. Aren't logos supposed to be simple? Why don't the left and right halves peak at the same point? Why does the left edge of the W extend just beyond the left edges of the shapes above and below it? What is the point of the big plus sign which makes me think of a Christian church? Are lots of black plus burnt orange and dark blue really the homiest of colors?
I do like the "where home happens" tagline, however.

hey bro , do you now what is logo ? I have idea to draw all the lines . If you would like to send a message . Meanwhile , This logo after 5 Etude in the form of And I simply gave it to be understood without graphics . sorry for my bad english . good luck
The background ellipse is not working for me. The different spacing between each letter is also disturbing.
I do like the cookie-letter idea, however. Maybe a more-compact logo with overlapping letters on varying baselines would be more compelling.

Thanks for the input. I missed the letter spacing entirely, guess I couldn't see the forest for the trees. The background elipse was meant to roughly indicate a plate. The real Oreo logo uses the overlapping letters on varying baseline, so I don't want to make this too close to the real thing according to the contest theme.
Anyway a thoughtful comment by you. You do sound like you know your logo design. I reposted the picture with corrections to the letter spacing. Thanks
I like the idea but I find the execution too complex for a logo while too simplistic for a compelling commmentary outside the constraints of the contest.
Very good. Clean, simple and to the point. The integration of the paperclip design is a great touch.
Thanks, appreciate it!
Good idea & execution.
Good job! I like the change.
