An image exhibiting the Droste effect depicts a smaller version of itself in a place where a similar picture would realistically be expected to appear. This smaller version then depicts an even smaller version of itself in the same place, and so on. Only in theory could this go on forever.
Make an image that clearly shows this Droste Effect... But be aware NOT to mirror your image, just make it reappear over and over again in 1 image. More info can be found here. Or check out our previous contest. Good luck!

Contest Moderator: Some entries in this contest do not represent the true Droste Effect. We have allowed them since similar work had been allowed in the past.
The true Droste Effect is not simply the repetition of an image, it is a picture repeated within a picture an infinite number of times in what is termed a recursive effect. This is thoroughly explained in the links given in the contest description. It is recommended that members read the information given in these links to better understand when creating their entry or voting for the entries submitted. ( 5 years and 989 days ago )

Moderator says:
It has been mentioned in a red flag comment that the source used for the figure of the girl has been photoshopped by it's author, normally chopped sources are not allowed but since the figure alone has been used and not the effect created by photoshopping we have decided to allow it in an effort to be more lenient in situations like this. It is best to avoid using a chopped source which usually is obvious or will mention Photoshop in it's description. As long as the effect created by the PS work is not used we will consider the acceptability of the source. This rule is needed to prevent using the work created by another artist in an entry, all PS work should be created by the entry author so we can judge their skills and not the work of someone else.
Really great take on the contest.. the textures and feel are lovely..
