1936 portrait of a migrant mother living in a tent during the great depression with 3 of her 7 children.
Florence Thompson was 32 years old and a pea picker in California, Photo by Dorthea Lange.
If your wondering why she still has a look of stress, she purchased a house with a variable interest rate, and she,s worried about the huge mortgage payment due this month.
The picture on the wall is the tent Florence lived in. picture of the room is my personal picture I took.

I have taken some artistic liberty with the color of her hair, eyes, and clothing.(h)
nice idea
nice work blending and updating the old photo -- very well done
Nice work
lots of contoversey over manipulating that particular photo.. very daring author... good luck
Interesting idea. Good colorizing of the 'mother' photo. However, the perspective on the bed is different from that on the mother. I also think a home is more than a bed. And someone who now has a home should be cheerier than 'mother' is.
good work
