OliviasArts: Mods... you removed MY entry cause you said something was PRE MANIPULATED.... i don't get it if i got it from sxc and then manipulated it myself?? It was the bird i assume, and if that is the case then remove the other entry that used the bird as well please. ( 5 years and 3834 days ago )

Howdie stranger! If you want to participate in this contest, just:
Great work! I thought of impaling her somehow, but never came up with a good concept...my only suggestion is to blend the weird wingy things onto the arms better, like the right arm of the woman at top.
AH HA.. the battle of the Seraphim's.. quote from the movie Prophecy...
Thomas: "Did you ever notice how in the bible whenever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence praising your God, but one wing always dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"
I actually think I captured this image in that quote... hehehe.. good job author..and good job ME.. (Just kidding.. all ego bisquits go to you dear author..hehehe)oh yeah.. and the writers for the move the Prophecy
Bit bloody but nice idea with ditto execution. Care for a nitpick to add? Since the pale entered the body from the back, I can imagine that a part of the dress in front would have come out because of the force of the impaling (thanks to CMYK for that word, I didnt know it yet ). So in case you'd like to, you could add some tiny ripped parts of the dress in front of the pale. The other figure looks nice, perhaps if you could hide the repetition in the fabric/wings (right top corner), would be nice. Good luck!
PS just noticed, I think that the flying woman needs a real left hand. Is there a way to flip the hand?
annabat [banned] says:
The steak looks a little big for the wound, but otherwise this is very nice.
Top part looks great, like the sky and the girl a lot. Don't like the pierced girl, it seems a bit to set up...how come there's a sharp pole? The story behind the picture lacks..but still great job on the top part.
The source picture is very beautiful, but it is hard to come up with something new. I wanted to use some sparkling lines but there are some entries with the same effect so ... something very simple. I thing the full resolution is better. (5 years and 3835 days ago)
wow..thanks for the Tutorial on brush design.. really makes this entry SING and also gives others on an insightful way of creating.. AWESOME!!! (Not to mention I'm going to have a blast trying to duplicate the effect... KNOWLEDGE IS POWER and thank you so much for sharing) HIGH MARKS
This is a fantastic pic, really cool effect, I think I agree with Nator, the girl in a setting would be a match winner for me, the feathers are a brilliant touch and you have worked them well.
To Moderators.... You removed my image from this contest because of the bird i used. This image used the exact same bird after my entry. Why is it still in the contest. Do you know who we are when you vote and just pick out people, or do you play fair? I have redflagged this before. You never miss an image when ive done somthing wrong. I think you just pick on the same people!
I love this image. Great use of source... it's nice not to see "Lace" fly...great job! Maybe you could sharpen the flowers in the front just a little... Good luck
The large vegetation to the right appears to dissapear behind the shoulder. If you lap a tiny bit of it over the soulder I think it would improve the spacial relationship. I really like the color and the mood of the piece.
Agree with Warlock...very art deco. I like this. Take a look at the hi res at the very bottom left of the dress. A peice of the reflection is sticking out from behind the object it reflects. Also, should the large bush have a reflection as well? Great Job.
love it, nice mood nice idea and very well done. seems as if shes floating a bit and i think the flowers in the front and back could be a bit less blurred, my opinion though. good luck
If the edge of the reflection is so strong I would like to see more of the details from the dress in the reflection as well.(no smudge) Although its nice to give everybody thumbs up, I think you should use it for comments that are usefull to you.
I am used only source image and some photoshop brushes & filters(smoke & cloud) to create this design. Please write your suggestions. (5 years and 3839 days ago)
Wow, really nice effect. I would love to say that you've got a sure winner here, but looking through the other submissions, you have a few others to contend with. Personally, I'd say if this doesn't win, it'll at least be in the top three. Great concept and just as great entry. High marks from me, good luck.
while it is a great image, i have to agree that its not original... there are atleast 2 others that did similar image with smoke bruches. still get a vote though as it is good work
Wow, now this is in a different league. Fantastic work. This really kicks A's
Great work! I thought of impaling her somehow, but never came up with a good concept...my only suggestion is to blend the weird wingy things onto the arms better, like the right arm of the woman at top.
