like the fire cloud effect -- think it looks a bit flat when your eye sees the sharp edge where it ends

very nice color scheme and lighting
Nice and there is some impressive lighting too.. Fractal lava? Ok, I think you need to fill in the gap where the eye 'was' to give the mask a full back so to speak. If you follow me.. You can see it clearer in step 5. There is no need to cut the shape out for the right eye. Just continue your line down..
great!!
Standing ovation for the work.. really put a ton of heart into this creation and it is marvelous in my eyes.. (went all Queen Elizabeth on ya author.. hehehe.. sigh.. I read too much LOL)
Truly great work! Really like the lighting and color.
Nicely done!!!!
Very creative idea nice work!
oooh cool
awesome job author good luck with your entry
beautiful colors and lights and very artistic
Good idea Although the mask looks like smashed rather than "disintegrating due to internal fire" :-P - that is because ot the unrealistically fine and undamaged edges.. If ure burning'em, burn'em good Cool sbs though
nice, but not so realistic in hi res,,, odd shapes
very nice
very nicely done, i would've loved to see a little bit of glow on the pieces. love the dramatic lighting good luck.
love the color... GL (:
perfect! GL!
cool
Woooooaaah! This is awesome!! Really nice old and deteriorated look!!
scheme and lightning is beautiful! it gives the image a african look!
very good

used my graphic tablet to create the contrast betwen the shadows and the lights. used blending options and erase tool for cutting just the eye mask from the source image and the golden tiara. More in the SBS. Enjoy!

great, not much use of the source but good image
Nice i like the mood here good luck!
Looks good! Nice job on the colors...too much blur on the hair for me, and the mask needs better shadows. Good luck.
Cool!!
good job
Nice work here, is it only the eye mask and hair band that came from the source? I would like to see more of it used.
Beautiful..IMO if you softened her hair and everything else then the fan too should have the same "smoothing"...Good Luck
i am not a very good chopper but to me this looks awesome. good job =)
great
nice work
Give the mask a harder edge and a bit of a shadow and it won't look painted on her face. Nice blend job!
good work author
Very nice Maybe you could move the centre line of the mask a little bit to the left so it follows the centre of the nose, same thing goes for the headband > to the right a bit. NIce mood and good idea to match the haircolor with the mask
nice color scheme
good work
I like this drawingeffect. well done!
very nice
great blending the mask and making it look more like a painted mask on her skin
very pretty
i like the soft feel of this
Sweet

the joker's shadow is wrong.. in ur case, u just cant use duplicate and skew the leg layer to create a shadow...please correct it.. a very beautiful work painting the joker, and nice use of source..
nice work
Very very good work
Color Scheme is just fantastic... hsbee is correct on the shadow.. but not a big whoop for you author I'm sure.. must have been a brain malfunction on your part.. (even though if you weren't looking for it you probably would never see it.. focus is totally on the subject.. excellent job
i think now it's better... thank u for your comments
nope author.. now u have seperate lught sources for each leg..one from 7 o'clock and another from 9 o'clock.. u have good painting skills.. why dont u manually paint the shadows??
EDIT: on the second thought is it just one lighting from 8 o'clock?? just ignore me author... sorry
very nice work.......awesome color scheme
cool colors
Nice looking entry but source seems a bit lost
very wel done........hmmm I think the joker looks sad though
Very good
Nice entry
Very nice, I like the whole thing, if you would like an improvement I think that the hat is too large, perhaps reduce the size of the hat a little then duplicate, flip and rotate to its got 4 thingys on it. I think that would be better, not that it needs it
cool work....also nice use of source image.....GL
Awesome work...love the colors ...
Great piece of manipulation top job!
good work
very nice
thank u very much for your comments
u put the mask right where it belonged
all i can say is wow..excellent job

Fantastic title, and the blood looks so organic. Well done, this is a great image!
coool
The blood looks kind of like candy oozing out, tweak on the brightness and color of it too make it pop, and this would be a killer entry IMO
lchappell, thanks...I was afraid of the blood looking phony (the reference pic is just red paint) but I darkened it up, and you're right, it looks better now.
Yeah looks better already...nice recovery
great!
nice job with the blood. i like how he somehow doesn't care about the knife being in his eye
Totally Awesome..nice work..
Disturbing and incredibly clever. I love it!
Quality work on this is the dagger possible a little to bright for the amount of light in the scene
oooh this makes me cringe! Very good job on the blood, really realistic, I think you went overboard on darkness, would look a little better if it were lighter. But its not a big thing really, I just want to see more!
Warlock& Ory, thanks for your comments. If you look at the SBS you'll see that the dagger was darkened proportionally with the rest of the image. And I think the dark shadows are appropriate to the mood of the image. I thank you both for your insights and your comments. I wish more members would make thoughtful comments.
great
That's gonna leave a mark. Great work translating the shadow from the face to the source. This is a crazy man, smiling with a knife in his eye. Great mood.
Oh this scares me a little.
good work
OOHH.....good work
...and he doesn't even break his smirky smile. What a dude!!
i like the light effect
very nice
i would scream if I were in his place)bet he's a dark demon who doesn't feel pain
Could've let some blood run down the knife as well :-P very cool (although my question still stands: on what drug is he not to care for the knife sticking from his eye?! lol )
Well Stoli, imagine how hard it is to find a pic that says "I love having this dagger in my eye!"
Strong entry.. good luck author!!!!

Great work, author! It almost seems that the body is a bit too blurred or soft compared to the mask (head). Also may I suggest a slight, thin, soft shadow along the edge of eyes...to give a bit of surface depth. Otherwise...truly great! Really like the color too...along with a great SBS.
EDIT: Looks
Pixelkid, thanks...I sharpened the upper edge of the shoulders. I blurred the rest because I thought the reflection lines were just too sharp in the source pic. I don't think the glowing eyes would have shadows.
Oh I didn't think about that LOL great idea!!
really nice!
nice work -- like the headphones and the over all use of the source
Real nice job on this, the eyes are killer along with the incorperation of the gas mask
interesting stuff
great!!
ooooh cool...
SF, ha? strong image! maybe you should call it: "The Venice robot"
Beautiful job Author......G/L....
