well done. technical very good. cute bird! but the composing isnt perfect. theres a little to much of your great leaves, a little too less bird. it would be better if you leave the first 1/3 of the image away.
Anatole, thanks for your notices, actually i had planed to come up with a couple sparrow not only one when i have started working on this entry, however when i was almost done with it i found out there was no harm for only a single sparrow, even though here i added another cute birdy for you.
as for the leaves actually i'm convinced with it,i own a huge mago orchard and know exactly how crowded trees should look like
There isn't even a hint of the source pic in this image. It could have been made from anything. It's very well done, but should show at least some remnant of the source.
very good idea and use of source author, really wish you a good luck, just i have some opinions i think will help you to improve your entry, lets start with perspective, all is good but if you make a floor the image is no longer flat and thats will improve the perspective, floor also will require some shadows and i let you make the creativity yourself, and also the wall behind the dogman need to be little far to make some depth for the image, here we stop regarding the perspective, edges of the head is too blury, fury creature must not be blured at edges, just pick the smudge tool, to be con.
small px soft round brush, at strength 30-65%, after preparing these options, smudge the edges of the head upwards at small distances between each tuft till you make head look natural, tuft must not be very long, you can do the same with rest of the edges if you wish, finally i suggest you burn outer and inner on third of thighs and legs from darker to lighter to make it look more curvy, ok i stop here and will back later to see your adjustment
author says:
Okay orientallad... I know I went a little nuts with the fuzzy.. But I LIKE IT.. hehehe.. thank you so much.. hehehehe.. Yippeeee (I never realized how much more control you have over the brush with smudge... I used it before but always at the wrong setting.. the setting you told me to use was A DREAM. (I used to paint fur with color brushes and it took for EVER) YOU ARE AWESOME DUDE
very pretty and super cool.. I'll let someone else help you on the edges (they are very sharp) .. I just learned how to manipulate fur and I'm really not too clear on the subject.. but this piece is really amazing.. good luck
Nice jobsource light comes from her left shoulder, all shadows must tend to the opposite direction, source light on the puppy comes from the other direction you need to use burn tool a little on her right cheek, now we need to know where shadows and shading should take place, since girl's hair is heavy on her left side of her forehead and cheek you need to make this the basic areas for working,so start to drop some shadows under her tuft on forehead and cheek, use burn tool to gradient shading on the right cheek, right side of the nose and under her eyes, look at the source you used for reference
good job, source light for the bone is difference from the one for the puppy, maybe make the bone more vertical and place it between its front leg and head as its hugging it, good luck
very well done author. trees in the distance make more darker(now it is greyish) and top right area is bit dull, correct it. GL
Great work author
Where's the SOURCE??? (scampering out of the comment area before the author beats me with a stick HIGH MARKS!!!
Fantastic piece of work beautiful colours & composition little suggestion maybe blur the back tree's to give it a bit more depth... class stuff!!
