I've merged the cliff and the water using the masking option. The water needed to have a lower perspective and as I result I used the perspective transformation tool. Lights and contrast have been created using the dodge and the burn tool. For the reflection effect I've blended some parts of the cliff and church and set them on soft light. The moon was distorted using the zig zag option. Enjoy!

People have to embark on a vast and complicated journey to find inner peace, and this is my representation of that journey.

Extracted Cathedral and moon.
Added vines; cracks; dirt; lighting effects. Most with brushes - the vines are from my own image will try and find and post it (from old site).
Extracted tree using channels.
Will try and complete SBS if I get a chance and if I can find my previous images... (5 years and 3812 days ago)
Very nice... just about the hand. I don't think there would be a shadow in mid air like that and where the hand is "coming out" the edges are very sharp, you might consider using some clouds or something? Good luck
very nice idea. If the hand is coming from water, will be better. GL
cool
This is really cool but the roughly chopped hand just isn;t doing it for me, i'd just move the entire image to the left, also i would add a proper image of a sky. Good luck, i won't place my vote yet because i really hope you'll fix the hand.
nice job..
very surreal
Hand shadow doesn't work, but the reflection is good...not sure about the fairy dust...
As usual, I'm clueless about what this is supposed to mean even with the hint of the title. The fact that the hand and forearm seem to be parallel to the background is disconcerting when that intrusion does not seem to have distorted that flat background (as opposed to bursting out of the background into the viewer's face).
very nice
I remember this one! I really like this, author! I think the surrealism is intriguing. I enjoy the bending of logic. To me this reads like a book. The reality is the hand poking thru the backdrop of water...yet holding onto things that only exist in fairy tales. (hence the fairy dust etc.) The exaggerated cathedral adds the almost quirky illustration look. Don't mean to read 'too much' into this...but I like it a lot. My only suggestion is less of the 'rendered cloud filter' look. Perhaps blurring this more.
cool illustration of the impossible
