This is not bad...and very original to come up with a cat from a.....flamingo....lol! But I think it would look even better if you added some shadows..! I would recommend using a new layer with a soft brush of different tones of grey, and then change blending mode to overlay or hard light, rather than use the burn tool...as your base color is brown and it might alter it into too much redness! Hope I helped! best of luck!

Cornelia, thanks for suggestion, I have already added some shadow layer in multiply mode but set their opacity to around 65-70, Anyway I will work on contrast and shadow further
Humor very high (shhhh.. don't tell him, the shirt and the cane colors CLASH..hehehe part of the charm of the piece)

Clever idea! still needs a little work tho you may want to consider maken the flamingos head a little smaller & bring it down closer to the little finger
Perhaps a tight shadow around where the hand meets the cane. Good job, otherwise!

Okay, I took everything you guys said into account, and here's what I did; I moved the cane over to the right a little bit, using the clone and healing tool to fix up the whiteness that it left behind, and I added a subtle shadow underneath the man's hand where it touches the cane.
Well, I think the colors, the texture of the flamingo gave me this idea. Image for the vase was done for me using a program called "Chaoscope" that does a 3d renders of images. Comments and critics welcome! (5 years and 3878 days ago)
THIS MUST BE VIEWED IN HIGH RES... THERE IS NO COMPARISION TO THE LOW RES..(they're almost two totally different pieces) (the High res is so much better then the low res... great job author) shame all the detail is lost in the low res.. I hope everyone takes the time to really look at the work in the high res
Really well done. Nice concept and composition. It IS true...much better in high res. Small suggestion...maybe blur the horizon a bit so the grassy stuff doesn't look so sharp far in the distance.
Very nice!!
