I think the man's texture is too heavy. In the upper left part of the image you use a photo of distant flowers but, if they are distant, why are they overlying the man? (Scuse me for the bad english!)

Err all i can understand from this is the man rest is too saturated and dark, gl.

Very interesting idea, i just feel like there is a lack of shading, i can't really tell where the neck begins. The houlds are also a little too far down, try pushing it up. Good luck!

Personally...I'd like to see the face much larger. It would balance image more. The face and eye etc is very intriguing and striking. Just would be better larger imo...

Chickadees ARE AWESOME.. we use to make suet balls (bacon fat mixed with peanut butter) and freeze them on yarn and hang them in trees..and the chickadees would get so FAT. hehehe.. good luck on this author (he could use some feet)
