I had to look at your step by step guide to really understand what i was looking it, overall i like it, but there are a couple of kinks that you could work on, such as his boots as Akasha mentione. Good luck
you know...i had the idea to do something just like this image ...but you beat me to the punch and you know what, im glad you did i wouldnt have done a job near as good as this one and just seeing it makes me want to shout for joy because if this image doesnt get 1st place, id be heartbroken.

Created the frame after following a tut by Eren Goksel: http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/photo-effects-tutorials/how-to-illustrate-a-wooden-frame-on-a-wall-scene/
The rest of the boat was created from source... (5 years and 3800 days ago)
just beautiful all round.. good luck on this author.. (if there was a picture in the dictionary that describes level.. this image would be it LOL) it so perfect it make my computer feel crooked LOL
Yep, a nice image indeed, just fix the reflection - it should be more "flat" and a little disturbed by the waves.. Have a look at boats' reflections in shallow sea waters. Good luck!
You should have used the original background. The symmetry kills this...

What do you mean? I did some adjusts with liquify to make it look like the front part of the boat, it's not so different from the back part anyway and i think the perspective is fine.
I'm talking about mirroring the mountain in the background when the original background was better. The symmetry is distracting. The rest of the pic is just fine.

Oh i thought u were talking about the boat lol i didn't like how the right mountain looked so decided to clone the left one with some lil differences.
sbs please???
thanks.. good LUCK!!
very nice! I would only work on his "boots" more
