The zeppelin was supposed to be just a few feet above Pol-E's head (it´s also almost as sharp as the rest on the foreground), but mainly because of the chain it looks now further away...but well, if you´re tired and desperately looking for a good source, then maybe it´s not easy to think logic anymor . @Olivia, thanks for the tip! I´ll check for it.

Thnx all for the comment... @ponti55 I did thought of adding a different background, but then I would have to change the shading of the spider and ground reflection... Well this particular background shows the light source and is kinda cool... So will stick to it... Will implement a more steampunk background if I make an another steampunk art... My head is bursting with ideas lol...

Edit: Thanks cmyk64, well I did thought of going brass at one time... But decided to go a bit modern style... Will keep that in mind though in making further steampunk stuff...

About the material okay I didn't used brass or iron, and about the background hmmmm just cause I didn't give a steampunkish background doesn't mean the subject becomes "non-steampunkish"... But oh well different poeple think differently...

Edit: @Christy He he he it's small coz I wanted to strain the viewers eyes... Just kidding... Well I wanted to make it big, but then I have show nicely on how the boiler gets connected to a burner/fuel tank which is connected to a engine whose piston are inter connected with cylinders which is linkable to a flywheel and stuffs like condenser, valve, gauges etc... Which I am not really familiar on( btw which I am working on)... So I apologize for it... Will try to make an even better working mechanism next time...

Excellent work! Just one suggestion: steampunk stuff is usually made of brass (sometimes iron). This would look extra cool if it was brass.

Author, the change you made looks nice, and definatley on theme - much more so than your previous one, but in my opinion, the futuristic or modern one looked a lot better. the reflections you made on the body itself looked great. I'm not saying you should change this back, because i do think this is more on theme, i just wanted to let you know, in case you were having second thoughts, that you're previous entry was absolutely magnificent. It's interesting, I just can't tell what I'm looking at...

This is amazing! However ,I had to look through your tutorial to see the metal thing on the bottom was a guy. Perhaps warping the metal around the body to better fit a muscle would help, and straightening some things.

I'm with CMYK46: it's hard to know what to make of this. I think the mish-mash of the hat is particularly to blame. The three clock faces make this look like a collage as they cast no shadows on each other, face flat on to the viewer despite the three-quarter pose of the hat wearer, and are not constrained by the hatband's left edge. The far wing is too far back to match the three-quarter pose. The upholstered hat itself is flat and doesn't match the three-quarter pose either. I see from the SBS that the rooster is part of the hat, but then it, too, is heading off in the wrong direction.

Bottom line: I would simplify by ditching the hat but keeping a free-flying mechanical rooster. The gramophone horn is cool but may seem weird without some sort of horn coming out of his other ear.

Its interesting to see when people comment so see what imangation they have on work like this~~For me i think its a wonderful work what i see is a bird which is half human and tin he has smokin bagpipes playing out the loudspeaker and he has to tame the time with music before his key runs out~~I think its a stunning piece of work i wouldnt change a thing colours are great. Well done author

OMG.. I just realized that I think I had that Propeller thingy on a hat when I was a kid.. one of those twirly beanies... LOL.. I got hit a lot

Up until 2/3 from the left the image looks great, the 1/3 on the right has got some perspective problems. It looks like it's bend. The angle on the propellor and the tube on top are wrong. Could be an easy fix.

author you so brainy .. I used to fix those lens bends from my 35 mm.. so I know what robvdn is talking about.. now that you've explained how the 3d max does it.. it truly is amazing (I'm just learning how to use the dern burn tool, I"LL NEVER GET TO 3d MAX LOL)

Good concept, but it looks half finished. Too many textures make the result look disjointed...the hull texture is too heavy.

Great entry. I know this distorsion effect, it dissapear when use a lens camera between 85 and 135 mm.As a suggestion : raise the distance between camera (hope is a target camera) and your object and use a lens around 100 mm. To not modify the angle select Camera, right click on Select and Move tool, open Move Transform Type-In dialogue and in left down corner raise the value for Look at - Dolly. But I'm sure you know all that, good luck.

Some very cool elements like the sub itself. The lack of any portholes is a but disconcerting, however. The three miniature smoke stacks (with rather modest smoke output) seem inconsequential compared to the odd inhaler horn on the front of the sub [which I would personally delete]. I wish the front and back propeller blurs were more rotational.
