great mystery and fear effect... i sure expect something to jump out of the darknes at the poor cat... great work with the eyes...

for me this image issnt lonly or feary. I had something diffrent in mind. Interesting to hear other impressions

i like it! sometimes that empty space works well you could though make make the lightened part of the cat become darker more gradually, insted of a straight line

good use thirds....so little in the image yet it says so much... great job

the image looks nice, the cat looks kinda lost in the image though the rest of the image is pitch black but i like it! high marks!

actually the dark area issnt empty at all. There is something in the darkness. (but may only the cat see it) you also can see it in the sbs if you like to get the hidden story insinde. For all others, it´s just a black area.

In High Resolution you can see the mouse. Without your comment, I would have never seen it. Changed my vote completely. Good job author!

Everything looks fantastic, really nice job. The one thing throwing me off a bit is the tongue, it doesn;t really fit with the rest of the image

Nice work , agree with ponti55 regarding tongue.

Landstriders have whiskers, and a deep gullet under their throat which stores a very long tongue (3(Three) feet in length) which they use to drink and eat with... the Tongue is sorta like an elephants trunk... it's the whole reason for the title... if I remove it, it will just be baby lamb with big eyes.. and that wouldn't be much fun.

(like kangaroo feet... the finger of the Aye-aye (Daubentonia madagascariensis).. or the giant eyes of those weird under water fish.. stuff like that)

Well it makes sense to have the tongue on show now that you described the landstrider, but this is a great image, and even if it is a baby lamb with big eyes, you'd get get high, high marks, because of how cool this is! But it is your artwork and in the end, a tongue is just a tongue, and all the people who view this entry will see how much work you put into everything else here. Good luck!

looks like an extraterestrial rat; could do well in the evil animals contest:P I think the background and the pillow are very well put together

definately a crazy fur ball.. and a very nice SBS.. the background is lacking but It doesn't matter because of the humor factor.. very good work
