It wasn't ease to make the same effect on the goat - it almost looks as a goat with cat fur (only the smudged part, of course).
I didn't add any background, to make the effect stand more clearly. (5 years and 3826 days ago)

nice fur work 
you got the right idea with the smudge tool but the fur around the goat looks like static electricity..good smudging but follow the direction of the fur rather than just sticking out straight
