I know my light sources are all over the place. I think I will leave them alone.
A friend of mine suffers from IgA. Some form of progressive kidney disease. Her kidneys have deteriorated to the point where the doctor told her she might have to start dialysis in a few months time. She went to see a dietitian at the hospital, hoping a change of diet might slow down the progress of the disease. She was put on a low sodium, low potassium and low protein diet. Given a list of vegetables of low potassium, sodium etc. to choose from for her meals daily. However, she found out later that another institute published a list too...but had put some of the low potassium veg in the first list into a high potassium category. She went to her dietitian about this. He explained that the institute could have pulled the figures from a different source. And she should just follow one of them. ????? I mean what's high is high and what's low is low! How does just follow one of the lists help her condition?
Anyway, that's the inspiration for this entry. I'm not an articulate person. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say. lol..both the entry and what I have written above...lol...
