This made me laugh. I like the reflections too...but the reflection has more detail showing in its tailfin than the actual fish. What happened to the top of the tailfin?

Happy you got a giggle out of this. The full length of the fish is half out of the water. That was my intent to make it look like a tall tale. About the clearer details of the tail under water, well... there are less ripples on the water.

Funny idea. Might want to blend and color splash to make it look as if it's coming from THIS body of water. Also, the water below the splash is rather calm.

nice concept. You may like to explore more skills to develop your entry. tutorials on how to make mermaid tails: add warp and liquify to shape better. Clone tool to extend the tail more onto the body. etc

nice idea. The chop of tail of the mermaid needs some work. Better work with layer masks, that way things can be corrected very easily. (I just suppose you didn't)

where's the fish? Where's the unbelievable catch? This is such an awesome picture--very cute but where's the catch that got away?

If you read the description, the mom makes the girl let the fish free, so it got away. Any sized fish is an incredible catch for a first time fisher such as this.

Well I think it's unbelieveable as I've never seen a three year old catch anything.

it's funny because there is so much that I haven't seen being a country girl, but yet there's so much I have. I'm glad I am a country girl though because I have had the opportunity to see the look on a 3 year old's face when they catch a fish. We were just at a hunting banquet and there are kids about 10 and under that have shot deer and turkey and more! This is still a wonderful picture--I would put it on my wall!

Funny - but I think your scale needs some work or that guy in the water is HUGE!!
