This is awesome! Can you please add some words to the Step by Step so I know how you made it? Also I agree with ponti and I'd go further to say that it's because there's no shadow for that leg.
I don't particularly care for insects but I love this one! I especially like the copper colors you have chosen. The added shadows are perfect. High marks from me!
The texture is fantastic and the color scheme is great. If you can make the dark space at the top just a tad bit lighter it won't take attention away from the middle quite as much, but it's hardly an issue. This is an amazing image!
I like the overall feel of this. Intricate detail abound. Not sure if I like the canvas texture...it isn't too distracting...but I think I'd like this more without it...imo.
huge marks.. but make sure you create some difference in each creature you have created (they look just a tad to repetitive... but other then that.. this image kicks butt LOL (do some shear/twirl/liquify... gently.. it will make the entry that much powerful)
do wish I would of thought of this.. it's wonderful
just love the dimensional effect as the grass goes blurry
Very well done! Composition is flawless, nice colors. I like the insects (esp. the rightmost one). Only the legs of the red insect are a little off (the are all on one side of the body).
author says:
dustfinger- I see what you mean- but when I look at the image in PS- the legs are to the back, when I view in pxl I see the legs infront. I will try again..Thx GolemAura for the lovely comment.

wow amazing job author.very well done.good luck
Good job, but the leg on the bottom left hand side looks like it's floating. Great job on the resy though.

Nice work...put an additional shadow slightly darker closer to the body and offset a bit and this will really rock!
EDIT: Yeah baby!!!
Thanks a lot for very useful comments! Added some additional shadows as suggested
Much better
