If you transformed the orange bit and give it height, and some reflection would go some way to an egg. good attempt tho.

I thought that I was looking at an orange plate at first and did not see an egg. But I understand now. Your shadows and highlights are misplaced. The shaddow on the left/inside yolk give it a concave look and the highlights around the back reinforce the concave. Dark colors make things look further away while lights bring them closer. I would find a way to reverse your shaddow/highlights. I hope that helps. Keep up the good work!

i like this image a lo! its just that, the egg yulk is too blurry and it kinda looses its ...depth imo but if it was sharper, it would be awesome!

aha cool! i like your thinking... possibly lighten some of the reds in the yolk to give it more of the yellowy colour that an egg has.
