cute... might want to fix the shadow and make the edge of it not so soft... also, right click on the fx button on that layer and select 'create layer(s)' and then free transform the new shadow, and warp it so that it bends with the face. there are parts where the shadow wouldnt be visible, and had you did this, it would take it to another level of realness. GL
EDIT: realistically had there really been a pin in the forehead, then there wouldnt be any blood dripping (in most cases) until the pin or thumb tack is removed... if its in the head holding the paper up, then there really isnt any need for the blood at all anyway. also, try using a handwritten typeface or if you have a tablet, write it yourself.
sorry..I dont' like blood on the babies... and it's little oof..
It's an understandable fear, try to follow BDDesigns advice, the shadow at the bottom looks very odd.
Sorry for the baby blood - it's the best "I've just had a post-it note pinned to my forehead" face I could find, if this were a photo rather than PS entry I think I'd be in trouble! Thanks for the advice on the shadows - I can see now that the post-it does make the background image look very flat - will sort that out in a little bit!
P.S. Didn't realise you could create layers from FX - excellent tip, thanks bddesign.
How's it look now - any better w/ the shadow I've manipulated?
lower the vibrance/saturation of the note
Good idea author... The child was really hurt so much : D.
Good suggestions everyone - thanks for the help - have lowered the vibrance and saturation and changed the font. Lessened the amount of blood, but I still think there would be some, probably not as much as now, but some!
keep the vibrance up but just lower the saturation, this way the color stays rich with the lack of brightness, or saturation. its complicated to explain but thats what its for. if you lower both, its pointless. you might as well just lower the saturation by its self.
Maybe there wouldn't be blood, but the blood kinda adds something, doesn't it?
looks painful
Thanks for the comments everyone - I'll keep the blood - it looks considerably blander without it - I agree that it definitely does add something!
Nice work. GL!
