the clip looks out of place try making it smaller and bluring the edges
You need to post your personal images uncut in your SBS as per the guidelines.
try saturating the clip and add a shadow for it. also i think you should saturate the picture that is being help by the clip. also dark the string. all of these pieces look out of place. when these are fixed this will be a great image.
Your shadows don't match. the light source for the rope seems to come from above but the clipped image's light source appears to be coming from the right. It doesn't really matter which way the light is coming from but it's important that all shadows on the same plane (the clothes pin, line and hanging picture) have shadows that go the same way. The framed image with gray scale could be greatly improved by bringing up the contrast. I'll hold my vote.
EDIT: better
i think it looks much better.
I do too. Thanks so much for the tips!
I like the feel of this. I think "tearing" the edges of the color picture would transition the eye from the old to the new. Maybe. Still, very nice job, especially on the string. I had trouble with that one. Also, did you purposely cut the clothespin short or is it behind a layer or something?
I like the final result very much. A lot of manipulation here, all good quality and unique concept.
Howdie stranger!
