The holes in her face look more like shoelace holes, rather than nail-size needle pucture wounds.

I like the holes! Sure they don't look like she's been poked with needles. But if she were, I'm sure she wouldn't be smiling, either. So the first thing I thought of when I saw this was that they're piercings. In which case, they wouldn't be bleeding (anymore) and the holes would be big enough for the needles to go through. I think that Lady Gaga meant for that to be a play on words. Kinda double entendre, maybe.

(also girls aren't gray either.. but I kept the needles and the holes in the same color scheme..hehehe.. and if they look like shoe lace holes.. that was half the battle.. After seeing all the whiny comments about the contest I just decided no matter what I entered.. it would be frowned upon because of the precursor of prejudice to the contest.. but at least I tried.. and that makes me proud of ME... hehehe
