IMHO not a very creative use of source...this could have been made from a pic of anything brown & hairy...
CMYK: I appreciate your personal comment, but, I think I gave a different look to the source image. I know, "this" could have been made of anything brown and hairy, as you say, the real thing is that I used the camel head to come up with this idea. I did not copied and pasted the source image, as some participants do. I created this landscape, with something that "is" the image source, if this is not "creative" tell me if pasting the source image over another image, is creative? I still appreciate your comment. MaXed: Thanks.
Author, you said it yourself: "I know, "this" could have been made of anything brown and hairy, as you say". I rest my case.
CMYK: I also said " I used the camel's head to come up with this idea", I also sent my SBS. Let's wish every one of the participants good luck with their entries, and that sounds much better.
I like this entry. Great over all image and mood. Different from the other entries. Good luck
Some of us like the challenge of blending images together to create a realistic image.(cut & paste if you will) Also the idea of the source image being readily recognizable is a plus, IMHO. The image does have a certain artistic quality though, even if it could have been created using any source...
Graphopoly: thank you. Ichapell, I just wanted to transform the source image, into something that I could do with it. By looking at the camel's head, I thought of a mountain, or a futuristic landscape. I think the artist, as you mentioned, is able to create an image recognizable from source image. Others, prefer to create something, by shreding the source image into something that is not recognizable, that is when the SBS come into the picture. I appreciate comments in my entries, so, I appreciate yours this time. Thank you!!
I like this work...maybe the top of the hills dont have to be that mycj flat, because of that they look unreal...
great job
Great Job!!!!!! Thank you for using one of my photos as well. I think you did a fine job in using the source like this as it shows you have the imagination to see things as other than they are. I detest those comments such as "could have been made from anything". Some folks look at an image like this and all they see is a camel head. For myself when I look at contest entries it is usualy the ones that this far from the actual image that get the highest votes from me, such as this one. WTG author!
