I used to play it... the 1st. version, where Mario still wasn't known by his name... Very nice and nostalgic!
Just one little thing: drum can's perspective isn't matching the road...

There are a few things in this that could be improved, just take some more time - you have a whole week to submit!
Try looking at the barrel as Erikuri said, the way the beams meet the walls, the shadow and masking on the gorilla. I'd probably do some cloning/healing on the road so it wasn't completely symetrical too. Good luck

Create some rolling barrels just like in the game I remember that this game was getting so hard towards the end
