Hurts are flat and sharp to the image.
need to be more careful when cutting out an image, example, look at the ears, they have corners. Im not sure why he has a white glow about him, is it just a poorly taken photography?. If so maybe leave the photo as is, rather than hack it and put on a black background.
As for the cutting and bruisers... there is no depth to them at all, and they need to be a bit darker.

agrees, you might want to try doing some close up edging with the polygonal lasso tool, feather 1 px and really zoom in so you can get a good edge on it. You can also use the liquefy/push tool to push rough edges like that smooth. Hope that helps. GL!
you should use pen tool for selection using feather 0.8-0.15px
