You could use some gradients in the text to soften them (bevel emboss could give them some punch as well... (Play with them.. so they blend better with the image
.. of course that's just IMHO

Is that 2,012 dollars or 20 dollars12? Coz I definitely want one of these on my night table! I like how you'd have to look into both eyes of the skull to know the time
Concept is really cool, your text though is kind of spoiling the image. Maybe try a different way to lay it out or a more "scary" looking font. In my opinion, your price info could also be less obvious. Good luck!
