I'd remove the bad shadow and make the cat stand out from the background. Otherwise, good idea.
Thanks CMYK46, added cloud filter to simulate dust and other minor changes so not near as dark...
Creative and amusing (unless you're a dog person, I suppose). The cat seems to be floating above the ground, however, and I don't get why there is dust behind the cat.
Removed dust layer behind kitten and changed it's shadow. FYI, my money's on the mutt
