Very interesting background! Shell looks kind of flat right now, maybe you can increase the contrast of the lighting.

Thank you for comment Kid: I worked more on the shell. I added more color and made it more convincing using the smudge tool, levels, and layer adjustments.

This is really nice, author...do you think you could maybe vary the brightness of the white flowers. I like how you have some blurrier than others...but if you vary the brightness so that they are not all the same...it'll help. Nice job, regardless.

dekwid: It is fun working with the smudge tool, you just have to be adding strokes and colors that go together. Different sizes of brushes and Opacity blendings. It takes time, but at the end, it pays.
