There is a very noticeable dark demarcation at the hairline which throws the depth off, making the face look pasted on, rather than part of the portrait. Also, the highlighting of the eye area looks almost like a mask, while the deep shadow beneath the nose does not correspond with the rest of the image, adding to the "pasted on" look.

The brightness/saturation of the face gives it the pasted-on, mask-like look that MossyB noted. [Personally, I don't find casting Bette Davis as Queen Elizabeth particularly innovative.]
