Very nice picture, lovely color. My only nit pik is that you've presented Old Glory backwards, other than that I think it's good.
EDIT:...Thanks for correcting your display of my flag! Real nice picture high marks and a fav.
Sorry Ichappell but i don't understand your nit pik please explain to me
I think he means the USA flag is facing the wrong way.
Nice concept, I like it! I love the idea of the grain of wood representing the ocean waves.
I've fixed it ! Thanks for your comments
brilliant idea !
nice
ah... a half told story... the hot-air balloon looks outa place.. suggest replace with a lady mannequin facing the guy or walking away (rejecting his love)
a moving story.... sob....
The marquetry feel is very cool. The sunset brightness is a creative cheat (among many others). And the (apparent) use of wood grain to convey waves (as JustinRSA noted) and clouds is truly inspired. The land outcrop seems to be floating above the water (and not very 'woody' BTW), however (move it down just slightly below the horizon line).
The mannequin is ironic (wooden figure finds itself in a wooden environment), but I don't see this image as irony. I would delete the mannequin and crop the image so the horizon line conforms to the Rule of Thirds to focus on beauty over some sort of vague message.
Looks like an oil paint, great job author!
agree wid Marta
beautiful work author
good luck
Nicely done, author, I like the soft but warm muted colors, and the way you handled the 'beach'. Perhaps the manequin is awaiting the arrival of his mate on the balloon.
Congrats, lolu! I love looking at this.
Thanks to all for your comments
Congratulations!
Congrats
