Thanks for your comment. If you look at the artists work you will see on the right side of the image a sketch of the man. The photo is for reference. He wanted a painting of himself looking at the boat.

overall composition needs to adjust. Colors don't 'blend' well, bright grass, dull ship ... cool and warm (winter n summer, all in the same pic)

There's a mix with the light sources.

I get the idea, which is good... I do agree with akassa about the light, the elements need some work to make them blend better. GL author
