Now if you fix the levels on the transplanted eye, you could have a good image. It doesn't help you to have a purple elephant, though.
A Hue and Saturation adjustment, desaturating the Blues, while slightly increasing the saturation of the cyans would help the elephant look more "normal," without washing out the sky.
I agree with CMYK46 and think MossyB gives very good advice.

The eye wrinkles are a bit to much in my opinion, it just comes out of nowhere.
Maybe you should soften the outer ones.
