i like the weird image but i would have presented the floating pond in a different manner . it looks like a flat blueish surface copy pasted on, i would have tried embed it in a cloud or something..
@ Eladine: You can clearly see how the sphere was made in the SBS. It certainly isn't flat looking.
it does... sorry but a sphere is round and since its transparent you would see the other side of the sphere.. (light/reflections) which i dont see with this one..
Oh please...
The reason you don't see the other side of a translucent sphere is because of the reflections on THIS side.
It's FANTASY...You certainly can't expect to apply "real world" expectations to EVERY entry you look at. I think you're grasping at straws, Eladine. The "lake sphere" looks FINE.
Re-read the contest description. This is an "odd" combination of elements, which is all the contest calls for. Anything more is up to you as a voter to perceive or miss...
The perspective of this entry is incredibly unique! Just that alone is pleasing! Add to it that there's some honest strangeness of a subject, along with really nice execution of the water and lighting...and this is quite pristine. The only thing I'd like to see would be to lighten the hand and sleeve a bit. Looks a bit dark against the bright banana. (Good band name). Great job, author!
