Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing. You may have heard them called 'wormholes', but it indeed is possible to travel through time. In this rare photo, taken from another galaxy cruiser, you see a Victorian steam-sub go through such a "portal", and emerge in the far distant future in a vehicle only vaguely resembling those of the 21st century - and it all happens in the blink of an eye! FLASH! GORDON!!! King of the impossible.. hehehe
The 'vehicle' seems to break as it goes through the portal, because of the different angles of the submarine and the other part. Aprt from that, it looks great. I can imagine this on the cover of a SF book.
Thank you for your observation, dustfinger, and I kind of understand what you're seeing. The two vehicles are warped to a curve, kind of like a leaping dolphin, and though the car's upper and lower parts do meet with the sub's, they're behind the watch cover. That's one reason I softened the mask on the sub's (left) part as it enters the 'portal,' to give a better impression that they're connected - well, as connected as two objects can be zipping through space like they do! And thanks, I'll take that book deal.
Howdie stranger!
