the motion blur is from the wrong angle, this makes it look as thought the "snow is coming up from the ground... ;] good luck!

no, my friend, not the shadow, the blur that is at the bottom left of the balls of snow. indeed the shadow would be the same direction as your light source, so it should be on the bottom right. the motion blur is going to be at the top because that is the direction of travel. think of it this way, an object isn't going to leave a trail where it hasn't been yet. i hope that makes sense. good luck!
